By downloading, accessing, or using Morning Mercies ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Morning Mercies. By using the App, you represent that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you should review these Terms with a parent or guardian.

Morning Mercies is a gratitude journaling application available on iOS. The App helps you build a daily journaling habit through Scripture-inspired reflection prompts, mood tracking, and streak tracking.

New users may be offered a free trial of Premium features. The trial period is 3 days. At the end of the trial, your subscription will automatically renew at the standard price unless you cancel before the trial ends. You can cancel at any time through your iOS Settings > Subscriptions.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

Premium subscriptions are available as monthly or annual plans, billed through the Apple App Store. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Subscription terms, pricing, refunds, and billing are governed by Apple's terms. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your iOS Settings > Subscriptions.

6. User Content

Journal entries, reflections, and mood selections you create within the App belong to you. We do not access, read, sell, or share your journal content. Your entries are stored locally on your device. If you enable iCloud backup (a Premium feature), your data is stored in your personal iCloud container through Apple's encrypted infrastructure.

You may export your journal entries at any time as PDF or text files (Premium feature).

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes what data we collect and how it is used. By using the App, you agree to the practices described in the Privacy Policy.

The App, including its design, reflection prompts, illustrations, themes, and code, is the intellectual property of Morning Mercies. Scripture quotations are in the public domain. You may not copy, modify, or distribute the App or its proprietary content without prior written permission.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Morning Mercies is a journaling and reflection tool. It is not a substitute for professional counseling, therapy, pastoral care, or medical advice. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact a qualified professional or emergency services.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Morning Mercies and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of journal entries, or interruption of service.

12. Data Loss

While we take care to ensure the App stores your data reliably, we cannot guarantee against data loss. Journal entries are stored locally on your device and may be lost if you uninstall the App, reset your device, or experience hardware failure. We strongly recommend enabling iCloud backup (Premium feature) to protect your entries. We are not responsible for any loss of data.

13. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time. You may delete all your data using the "Delete All My Data" option in the App's Settings. Uninstalling the App removes all local data from your device.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will indicate the date of the most recent revision at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
